Invite students and teachers to a classroom

Invite members from classroom settings or invite students while sharing a quiz.

Classroom teachers can invite teachers and students from the classroom page. The Share Quiz window may also show an inline Invite student action while you are sharing a quiz with a classroom.

Invite members from classroom settings

Use this flow when you want to add a teacher or student to the classroom.

  1. Open Classroom from the left menu.
  2. Click Invite member in the upper-right corner.
  3. Enter the person’s email address.
  4. Choose a role:
    • Teacher: Can create, edit, and share learning materials.

Invite many members at once

Use Bulk invite when you need to invite many students or teachers to the same classroom.

  1. Open Classroom from the left menu.
  2. Click Invite member.
  3. Click Bulk invite.
  4. Choose the role for the invitation batch.
  5. Paste email addresses or upload a CSV file.
  6. Click Review invitations.
  7. Review invalid emails, duplicates, already invited users, existing members, and seat-limit warnings.
  8. Send the ready invitations.

CSV files can use a column named email, or one email address per row. The review step helps you fix issues before emails are sent.

Manage pending invitations

Invitations that have not been accepted yet appear in Pending Invitations.

For pending invitations, you can:

Manage classroom members

Users who have joined the classroom appear in Members.

From this area, you can view roles and manage classroom access.

Invited users can access only the classroom they were invited to. If a user needs access to another classroom, send a separate invitation for that classroom.

Invite a student from the quiz share modal

When the Invite student button is available in the Share Quiz window, you can invite a student without leaving the sharing flow.

  1. Open your quiz.
  2. Click Share & Embed or Share with Students.
  3. Choose Classroom as the audience.
  4. Click Invite student in the Share Quiz window.
  5. Enter the student’s email address.
  6. Click Send invite.

QuizRise sends the student a classroom invitation email. After the student accepts the classroom invitation and signs in, they can access classroom-shared quizzes.

What to know about quiz-share invitations

  • The share modal shortcut sends Student invitations only.
  • Teacher invitations and full invitation management are handled from Classroom > Invite member.
  • Students cannot access classroom-only quizzes until they accept the classroom invitation.
  • Sent invitations appear in the Student audience area with a Pending invite status. When the student accepts, the status updates automatically.

If you do not see the Invite student button in the share modal, use Classroom > Invite member or ask the classroom owner to invite the student.

Student and Teacher roles

When you send a classroom invitation, choose the correct role for that user.

Teacher is for users who can create, edit, and share quizzes, flashcards, and other learning materials. Classroom teachers can also manage members and invitations.

Student is for users who can access shared learning materials and answer quizzes.

A user can have different roles in different classrooms.

How private email invitations work

Classroom invitations are sent to a specific email address. Only the account with that email address can accept the invitation.

When the user accepts the invitation, they must sign in with the same email address or create a new QuizRise account using that email address.

If the user signs in with a different email address, the invitation cannot be accepted and the user will not gain classroom access.

If you invited the wrong email address, cancel the invitation and send a new invitation to the correct address.
