QuizRise lets you choose who can access a quiz. The main visibility options are Private, Classroom, and Public.
Private
Private means the quiz can be viewed only by the classroom Owner and users with the Teacher role.
In Private mode, the quiz is not shared with students. Share links, QR codes, and embed options are not shown until you choose Classroom or Public.
Use Private when you are still preparing a quiz or do not want students or external users to access it yet.

Classroom Share
Classroom Share lets you share a quiz only with members of a specific classroom.
Only users who have joined that classroom and are signed in to QuizRise can access the quiz.
The sharing window shows joined students and pending student invitations. When the inline Invite student action is available, it sends Student invitations.
Use Classroom Share when you want to share materials securely with your students or school group.

Public Share
Public Share lets anyone with the quiz link or QR code open the quiz.
Users do not need to sign in to QuizRise or join a classroom to access a public quiz.
Public Share also enables share links, QR codes, and embed options.
Use Public Share when you want to publish a quiz to a wider audience, add it to a website, or make it easy for anyone with the link to open it.

Classroom Share vs. Public Share
Classroom Share is limited to members of one classroom. Users must be classroom members and signed in with their QuizRise accounts.
Public Share has no classroom membership requirement. Anyone with the link or QR code can open the quiz.
Which option should you choose?
Choose Classroom Share when you want to share a quiz only with your students and provide the classroom learning experience. Classroom students can use the materials and practice modes allowed by the teacher’s classroom access settings, such as Summary, Flashcards, Study Mode, and Quiz Mode.
Choose Public Share when you want to share a quiz outside the classroom, publish it on a website, or let anyone open it from a link or QR code. Public viewers can answer the quiz and, when available, open public Summary or Flashcards. Classroom-only learning features such as Study Mode are not available to external public viewers.
Can the audience be changed later?
Yes. You can change the quiz Audience after the quiz has been created.
Open Share Quiz, use Change, and choose Private, Classroom, or Public.
When the audience changes, QuizRise updates the quiz access rules:
- Private: Only the Owner and Teachers can view the quiz.
- Classroom: Only joined classroom members who are signed in to QuizRise can open the quiz.
- Public: Anyone with the quiz link or QR code can open the quiz.
This lets you keep a quiz Private while preparing it, switch to Classroom when you are ready to share it with students, or publish it publicly when you need wider access.
