How it works

From your notes to exam-ready

Make a study set, then let QuizRise plan what you review, practice, and test.

Step 1: Flashcards

Review the right cards each day

QuizRise schedules every flashcard with spaced repetition. Rate each card after you flip it, and it comes back when it is due.

  • Again, Hard, Good, or Easy after every card
  • A countdown to your next session, and a daily streak
Animation: the flashcards page shows 12 cards for today. The student starts today's session, flips a card about the Calvin cycle, rates it Good, and the next card comes up. The rest of the cards go by, and the session ends with You're on Fire, a countdown to the next session and the daily streak going from 5 to 6 days.

Step 2: Study Mode

Practice until you get it right

See the correct answer as soon as you miss a question. Missed questions come back in a retry round until you get them all.

  • Instant feedback with the correct answer
  • Only the questions you missed come back
Animation: in Study Mode the student picks ATP for a Calvin cycle question and sees Incorrect with the correct answer, RuBisCO. A retry round brings back only that question; the student picks RuBisCO, sees Correct, and completes the session.

Step 3: Quiz Mode

Test yourself before the exam

Quiz Mode is one timed pass, like the real exam. See your score, your time, and every answer.

  • A time limit for the whole quiz or for each question
  • Review your answers after each run
Animation: the student turns on Shuffle questions and sets a 15-minute time limit, then takes the quiz while the Quiz Timer counts down. The results show a score of 90 out of 100, 9 correct and 1 incorrect.

Ways to study

Practice until you know it

Learn with flashcards, check yourself with questions, and come back at the right time.

Flashcards with spaced repetition
Rate each card Again, Hard, Good or Easy. QuizRise schedules the next review, and you can set your desired retention and new cards per day.
Study Mode
Practice questions with instant feedback. Questions you miss stay in rotation until you get them right.
Quiz Mode
Take the questions like an exam: one pass, a time limit if you want one, and your score at the end.
Summaries
A short summary of the material to read before you practice, which you can edit.
Mind maps
The main ideas of a chapter and how they connect, on one page.
Daily streak
Answer a question or review a card each day to keep your streak. If you miss one day, the streak is held for you.
