Use the File source when your material is in a document, slide deck, spreadsheet, text file, image, or PDF.
Supported files
QuizRise accepts PDFs, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, TXT, Markdown, HTML, images, CSV, JSON, XML, EPUB, and similar supported file types.
Steps

Open QuizRise.

Choose From File.

Click Select File and choose the file you want to use.

If QuizRise shows page selection, choose the pages or page range you want to process, then click Continue.

On Configure Quiz, choose:
- Language: Keep Auto or choose a specific language.
- Question Types: Select one or more of multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, and true/false.
- Question Difficulty: Choose easy, medium, or hard.
- Total Question Count: Choose how many questions to create. The available range can depend on your plan, selected pages, file size, and extracted content length.

Click Create Quiz.
QuizRise uploads the file, extracts the text, creates the quiz, and starts question generation. Larger files and selected page ranges can take longer to process.
File processing notes
- Empty files cannot be uploaded.
- Large files can be limited by your plan.
- For large PDFs, selecting only the pages you need can help the upload and extraction finish faster.
- Use Extract from File instead when the file already contains quiz questions and answers that you want to import.
