## Question

Create Quiz from Text

## Short answer

Paste or type text and generate a quiz from that material.

## Full answer

Use the Text source when your material is already written as notes, lesson text, article content, or any other text you can paste.

## Steps

1. Open [QuizRise](https://app.quizrise.com/create/quiz).

2. Choose **From Text**.

3. Paste or type your content in the editor.

4. Click **Continue**.

5. On **Configure Quiz**, choose:
   - **Language:** Keep **Auto** or choose a specific language.
   - **Question Types:** Select one or more of multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, and true/false.
   - **Question Difficulty:** Choose easy, medium, or hard.
   - **Total Question Count:** Choose how many questions to create. The available range can depend on your plan and content length.

6. Click **Create Quiz**.

QuizRise creates the quiz and starts generating questions from your text. When the quiz opens, review the generated questions and edit anything that needs adjustment before sharing it.

## Tips

- Use enough source text for the number of questions you want.
- Remove unrelated text before generating the quiz.
- If you only have a topic, use the [topic with Text source](/help/en/create-quiz-from-topic) workflow and add context, learning objectives, and key points in the text editor before continuing.
